AstraZeneca announced positive Phase III DeLLphi-305 results showing that Imfinzi (durvalumab) plus Imdelltra (tarlatamab) significantly improved overall survival compared with Imfinzi alone as first-line maintenance treatment for patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC). The combination also produced significant improvements in progression-free survival and objective response rate, with the trial supporting Imfinzi as a backbone immunotherapy for small cell lung cancer. The study included 563 patients who had not progressed after initial Imfinzi, platinum chemotherapy, and etoposide treatment, and the results will be presented at a future medical meeting and shared with regulatory authorities.
