Baylor Geosciences Professor Named Fulbright U.S. Scholar for Antarctic and Africa Plate Tectonics Research
Baylor University geophysics professor Dr. Jay Pulliam has been selected as a Fulbright U.S. Scholar, recognizing his contributions to Earth science research. His project will focus on Antarctic ice shelf dynamics and the geological link between Antarctica and southern Africa, using seismic data to study ancient continental movement and plate tectonics. The research will be conducted in collaboration with international partners in East Antarctica and is expected to advance understanding of Earth’s geological history and climate systems.
