Island Pharmaceuticals Begins GMP Manufacturing of Galidesivir to Support Pivotal Marburg Virus Study

Island Pharmaceuticals announced the start of GMP manufacturing for Galidesivir, a broad-spectrum antiviral being advanced for a pivotal study targeting Marburg virus disease. The manufacturing effort will ensure production of clinical-grade material needed for upcoming regulatory studies under the FDA’s Animal Rule pathway, which allows approval based on animal efficacy data when human trials are not feasible.
