Johnson & Johnson Launches Shockwave C2 Aero Coronary IVL Catheter to Improve Treatment of Calcified Heart Artery Disease

Johnson & Johnson announced the global launch of the Shockwave C2 Aero Coronary IVL Catheter, a next-generation device designed to improve the treatment of calcified coronary artery disease. The catheter enhances deliverability, lesion crossing, and repositioning within arteries, allowing physicians greater flexibility during complex percutaneous coronary interventions. Built on Shockwave’s intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) platform, the device expands treatment options for patients with severe arterial calcium buildup that is difficult to treat using traditional techniques.
