Sunniefest Celebrated at Pegasus Park
Lyda Hill Philanthropies partnered with Reese Witherspoon’s media company Hello Sunshine to bring Sunniefest, a new festival for Gen Z girls, to Dallas on Saturday, Nov. 15. Designed for young women ages 13–25, the one-day event helped attendees connect with one another and explore their passions. Lyda Hill Philanthropies was founded and led by Preston Hollow neighbors Lyda Hill and Nicole Small. Sunniefest was supported in part by the organization’s IF/THEN® Initiative, co-founded by Small in 2019 to inspire girls to pursue STEM careers. Earlier in the year, IF/THEN® collaborated with Hello Sunshine on women-centered storytelling projects. The festival was hosted by Hello Sunshine’s Gen Z brand, Sunnie, at Pegasus Park—an innovation hub launched in partnership with Lyda Hill Philanthropies in 2020. Attendees participated in interactive workshops, STEM labs, confidence-building sessions, and discussions with young female creators and entrepreneurs. Featured guests included actresses Kiernan Shipka and Raegan Revord, athlete Ashton Landsell, Purdue University professor Kasie Roberson, and others.
